In the conduct of our business, we, Achilles Applied Technology Ltd., in recognition of the importance of the engineering profession in affecting the quality of life, accept our obligation to act with integrity in the public interest and maintain and improve our competence. We embrace the following code of conduct as laid down by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing:
In that we will:

Hold paramount the safety, health and welfare of the public and the protection of the environment in the practice of our profession. |

| 2. |
Maintain and improve our competence and undertake technological tasks for others only if qualified by training or expertise and after full disclosure of pertinent limitations. |

| 3. |
Accept responsibility for work carried out under our supervision, treat subordinates fairly and without bias and advance their learning and competence. |

| 4. |
Not enter into a contract where there is a real or perceived conflict of interest and will disclose any conflict to affected parties when they do exist. |

| 5. |
Not disclose confidential information acquired in the course of our work, without the consent of the parties concerned. |

| 6. |
Provide objective and truthful information especially when giving advice or criticism, making public statements or advertising/publicising services; advice will include clear statements of the impact and consequences of engineering decisions and projects. |

| 7. |
Reject bribery in all its forms. |

Make a systematic assessment of environmental, health and safety risks related to our work and our legal liability |

| 9. |
Report any violations of this code by other members to the Secretary of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing. |

Health & Safety Policy |

In the conduct of our business we, Achilles Applied Technology Ltd, have identified and adhere to three rules to ensure that our commitments to Health, Safety and Welfare are met.
• NO HARM TO PEOPLE
• NO HARM TO PROPERTY
• NO HARM TO THE ENVIRONMENT
We, and all others working under our mandate, accept fully this policy and confirm our total commitment to safety, welfare and the environment on all our projects and at all our locations.
We accept that safety issues are paramount and take priority over all other issues and that no job is too important that it cannot be done safely.
We shall ensure that all employees are provided with a safe place of work and that all provisions of health, safety and welfare are met.
We shall take all necessary steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of other parties in the vicinity of our work-sites, including other contractors, the public and visitors.
We shall take all necessary steps to ensure that no damage or harm comes to any person, property or the environment within the vicinity of all our worksites and locations.
We authorise all employees the right to stop any job if they feel that it is not safe, or that this policy may not be met.
We aim to achieve this commitment through adherence to legislation, continual training, the use of risk assessments and toolbox talks, involvement of all parties’ concerned and a constant review of all our procedures.
We accept fully that everyone has a personal responsibility for his or her own health and safety and that of others.
We accept that all in a position of responsibility has a duty of care towards all those in their responsibility and others that may be affected by our activities and our omissions. |
